2013 Memorial Day Weekend Museum Hours

The museum at Soldiers Memorial will be open regular hours on Memorial Day weekend, with one exception:  The museum will close during the Memorial Day Ceremony on Saturday, May 25, 2013 (10am.-11am.).

OPEN HOURS:
 
Friday, May 24, 2013:  9am.-4:30pm.
Saturday, May 25, 2013: 11am.-3pm. (museum closed 10am.-11am. during Memorial Day Ceremony)
Sunday, May 26, 2013:  10am.-3pm.
Monday, May 27, 2013:  9am.-4:30pm.
 
Enter the museum via the Pine street entrance on the north side of the building or through the Bluesweek Festival grounds on Chestnut street (south side of the building).  The Pine street entrance is handicap accessible.

American Legion Flag Retirement Ceremony

The 11th and 12th Districts of the American Legion will perform a Flag Retirement Ceremony Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. on the steps of the Chestnut Street side of the Soldiers Memorial Museum.

The Museum will be closed from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. for the Retirement Ceremony.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the armistice agreement that ended the Korean War. To honor this, we will be posting images donated by Paula Rodgers-Shinstock on behalf of her father, William W. Rodgers, a Korean War combat veteran.

MUSEUM PARKING:
On Chestnut Street with handicap accessibility on Pine Street.
On Chestnut Street, you may park in the "Permit Only" spaces, and obtain a one-day parking pass from the security guard (office immediately inside the East side of the Museum)
