Guest: Ann Fleming, St. Louis Genealogical Society
The St. Louis Genealogical Society (StLGS) is a not-for-profit, all volunteer organization with more than 2,000 members in almost every state and several foreign countries. Begun in 1967, it is now the largest local genealogical society in the United States, renowned for its excellence in programming, resources, classes, and membership services. The Society office houses a small research library, computers with genealogical software, and microforms for St. Louis area research. Society members help people research family history by teaching classes, making presentations, and leading tours to other genealogical research facilities.
The Societys business office and classroom are located at #4 Sunnen Drive, Suite 140, St. Louis, MO 63143, between Big Bend Blvd. and Laclede Station Rd. in the Sunnen Business Park in Maplewood. Office hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
