Stand Down a collaborative effort amongst the Social Service agencies, the Military, shelters, Veterans Administration, City and County Governments, and volunteers. The event provides Food, Clothing, Haircuts, Medical, Legal, Readjustment Counseling, Employment, Housing, Bus Passes, and many Social Services.  A recent addition has been the Spiritual section that is manned by a local church.  The Medical station is located inside Soldiers memorial for Medical screenings, Optometry, Dental, and Chiropractic. Designated vans are available for transport to the VA hospital, if needed. Legal services led by volunteer Attorneys and students from St. Louis University Law School are available to answer questions and offer advice or direct assistance.
