Bearing Witness: Liberator Stories of WWII (Facebook page)
The St. Louis Holocaust Museum & Learning Center and the St. Louis Soldiers Memorial announce a new film partnership with Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Christian Cudnik and Triptone Productions to produce a 60-minute documentary, “Bearing Witness: Liberator Stories of World War II.”
The purpose of the film is to document the stories of military men and women of the St. Louis area who helped liberate the Jews in Europe during World War II.
Missouri Military Memorial Foundation
The Missouri Military Memorial Foundation is seeking to raise the funds for a memorial to honor those Missourians who have given their lives in Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Operation Brightside, the region's oldest and most comprehensive not-for-profit cleaning and greening initiative, enriches and beautifies St. Louis by restoring, maintaining and growing the community landscape.
American Gold Star Mothers, Inc
American Gold Star Mothers is an organization of women who have lost a son or daughter in defense of the country.

Veterans for Peace

On the second Saturday of December, wreaths are placed on the graves of veterans around the country.
Joshua Chamberlain Society
"The Joshua Chamberlain Society has the goal of aiding severely wounded military service members and the families of killed-in-action members of our military who sacrificed all in our service. In what we believe is a unique mission, we adopt these severely wounded veterans as JCS Heroes, and they will stay part of our family for the remainder of their lives, just as their injuries will be with them for the remainder of their lives."
